First, make sure the wall is clean, dry and sound. Aqua-Tile is a thin-bed paste, so a flat background gives the best finish.

Next, spread it with a notched trowel and bed the tiles. The instant grab holds them in place, and the non-slip formula usually removes the need for battens or spacers.

Then adjust any tiles while the paste is still workable, before it sets.

Finally, grout with a waterproof grout such as our Wall Tile Grout once the adhesive has set. Aqua-Tile is not for swimming pools, total immersion or large format tiles; for those use a cement-based adhesive like CTA Flexible.

What does shower-resistant D2T mean?

D2 is an improved dispersion wall tile adhesive with higher water resistance, and the T means it is non-slip. In short, it is a ready-mixed paste rated for wet interior walls like showers.

Is it suitable for a wet room or power shower?

Yes, it is designed for domestic power showers and shower areas. For a tanked wet room floor or full immersion, use a cement-based adhesive such as CTA Flexible.

Can I use it on floors?

No, it is a wall tile adhesive. Use Rapid-Flex, Rapid-Set or CTA Flexible for floors.

Do I still need spacers?

The non-slip, instant-grab formula usually removes the need for battens, though spacers help keep joints even.

What grout should I use with it?

A waterproof grout, such as our Wall Tile Grout. For mould-prone showers, Steri-Grout adds extra mould resistance.

Can I fix large format tiles?

No. For large format or porcelain, choose a cement-based adhesive like CTA Flexible.
