Description

Bond-It's High Strength Spray Adhesive is a powerful, multi-purpose aerosol glue in a 500 ml can. It is non-chlorinated, so no CFCs and no dichloromethane in the formulation.

The variable discharge nozzle lets you control the spray fan. As a result, you get a narrow line for seams or a wider fan for bonding large foam sheets.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Non-chlorinated formulation, no CFCs and no methylene chloride
  • Excellent bonding properties across a wide substrate list
  • Long-lasting performance once cured
  • Variable discharge nozzle, with pressure controlling the spray-fan width
  • One 500 ml can yields around 4 m² of coverage

Usage / Application

First, shake the can well. Work only in well-ventilated areas, because the solvent and propellant need to flash off.

Next, check that every surface is clean, dry and free from contaminants. The optimum application temperature is +15 °C to +25 °C.

Then hold the can around 25 cm from the surface. For a strong bond, spray both surfaces; for a lighter bond, spray only one. After that, let the solvent flash off for 3 to 5 minutes.

Finally, press the surfaces together and work outward from the centre. Invert the can and spray briefly to clear the valve for next time.

FAQs

Can I use this on polystyrene or plasticised PVC?

No, it is not recommended for either. Also, do not use it on surfaces that exceed +50 °C in service.

Is it flammable?

Yes, this is an extremely flammable aerosol. Therefore, store it according to flammable-liquid regulations and keep it well away from ignition sources.

How do I remove excess adhesive?

While wet, solvent or lighter fluid lifts the residue. However, cured adhesive needs mechanical removal.

Is it safe for unsupported car headlinings?

No, do not use it for construction applications such as unsupported headlinings in vehicles and boats. For that job, specify a headlining-specific adhesive.
