  • Slump resistant, so it holds on vertical and overhead work
  • Gap filling up to 12 mm for rough and porous surfaces
  • Replaces mechanical fixings in many interior and exterior jobs

Usage / Application

First, make sure the surfaces are sound and reasonably clean. Saves Nails grips rough and porous materials, so heavy preparation is rarely needed.

Next, cut the nozzle, load the cartridge into a standard sealant gun and apply beads or dabs to the back of the item.

Then press it firmly into place. The instant, slump-resistant grab holds skirting, trims and boards without temporary support.

Finally, leave it to cure fully, up to around 48 hours, before heavy loading, and overpaint once set. Test on plastics first, and for wet surfaces choose Gripbond Pro Max instead.

FAQs

What can I stick with Saves Nails?

Skirting boards, door frames, window sills, wall battens, cladding, decorative wall boards, metal carpet edges, stair nosings and laminates. It bonds aluminium, steel, wood, chipboard, plasterboard, ceramic tiles, PVCu cladding, brick, concrete, stone and marble.

Does it really replace nails?

For most trims and boards, yes. Its instant grab holds the item while the bond develops. Heavy or load-bearing items should still have a mechanical fixing as well.

Can I use it outside?

Yes, it is suitable for interior and exterior use and has good low-temperature resistance.

Will it fill an uneven gap?

Yes, it bridges gaps up to 12 mm, so it copes with rough or slightly uneven surfaces.

Can I paint over it?

Yes, once it has cured. Allow up to around 48 hours for a full cure first.

How is it different from Gripbond Pro Max?

Saves Nails is a solvent/rubber-based instant grab adhesive. Pro Max is a premium hybrid that bonds on wet surfaces and is solvent-free. For damp conditions, choose Pro Max.

Should I test it on plastic first?

Yes, we recommend testing on plastics before full use.
