Description

These TIMCO collated flooring screws load onto strips that run through a collated screw gun, so you can fix chipboard sheets and timber floorboards to joists while standing upright. No stooping, no loose screws rolling across the deck.

The coarse single thread bites fast and pulls each board down hard onto the joist, which is what keeps a floor quiet underfoot. Square (Robertson) drive holds the bit tight for one-handed driving, and the zinc and yellow finish suits interior work.

FAQs

What gun fits these collated flooring screws?

They run in a standard collated screw gun that takes strip-collated screws, paired with a square drive bit. Check your gun's screw length range against the size you buy.

Do collated screws stop floor squeaks?

They help. The coarse thread pulls each board tight to the joist, so there is less movement between board and timber, and movement is what causes most squeaks. Driving into the joist rather than the gap is the key.

What size screws do I need for 22mm chipboard flooring?

For 22mm chipboard a 50mm to 55mm screw is common, giving solid grip into the joist below. For 18mm boards a 45mm to 50mm screw usually works. Match the length to your board thickness plus enough thread in the joist.

Square or pozi drive, which is better here?

Square (Robertson) drive holds the bit firmly and lets you drive one-handed with the gun, so the screw stays put on the tip. That grip is why square drive is popular for collated flooring work. This product uses square drive.
