Usage / Application

First, make sure the background is clean, sound and prepared. CTA Flexible bonds to concrete, screed, timber, composite boards and impermeable surfaces.

Next, mix the powder with clean water to a smooth paste. It has a regular setting speed, so you have a sensible working time.

Then spread with a notched trowel and bed the tiles. The white, flexible, non-slip formula is ideal for porcelain and light-coloured tiles where trowel marks could show through.

Finally, allow it to set, then grout. Because it is fully waterproof and frost resistant, it is the one to choose for pools, wet rooms and exterior tiling where the ready-mixed pastes are not suitable.

FAQs

Is CTA Flexible suitable for a swimming pool?

Yes. It is fully waterproof and frost resistant, so it is suitable for swimming pools, wet rooms and exterior tiling, unlike the ready-mixed paste adhesives.

Can I fix porcelain with it?

Yes, it is ideal for porcelain and other low-porosity tiles, on floors and walls. The white colour also stops trowel marks grinning through light tiles.

Can I use it outside?

Yes. It is rated for interior and exterior use and resists frost once set.

Is it suitable for underfloor heating?

Yes. As a flexible C2 adhesive it copes with underfloor heating and backgrounds subject to limited movement or vibration.

How is it different from Rapid-Flex?

Both are flexible C2 adhesives. CTA Flexible is fully waterproof and frost resistant for pools and exterior work, with a regular set. Rapid-Flex is the rapid-setting option when you need light traffic in 2 to 3 hours. Choose by whether you need waterproofing or speed.

Why choose white over a grey adhesive?

White does not show through light-coloured or translucent tiles and glass mosaics, where a grey bed can grin through and spoil the finish.

Can I tile over existing tiles?

Yes, it is suitable for tile-on-tile work on a sound, clean existing tiled surface.
