What does SNR 33dB mean?
SNR (Single Number Rating) is the average noise reduction the protector gives, so it cuts noise at the ear by roughly 33 decibels. Aim to bring the level at the ear to 70-80dB; over-protecting can leave you cut off from warning signals and speech.
How should I fit foam ear plugs?
Roll the plug into a thin crease-free cylinder, pull the ear up and back, insert it well into the ear canal and hold until it expands to seal. A correctly fitted plug should noticeably muffle your own voice.
