Description

These are TIMCO's black plasterboard screws with a fine thread, for fixing plasterboard to metal wall and ceiling track up to 0.6mm. The fine thread grips thin steel track without spinning, and the bugle head pulls the board tight and sinks just below the paper so it is ready to tape or skim. The black phosphate finish is the standard drylining look. A dependable everyday board screw for metal stud work.

Usage / Application

Use these screws to fix plasterboard and drywall sheets to metal (steel) stud partitions, MF ceiling grids and drylining track up to 0.6mm steel thickness. Get the thread right and everything else follows:

  • Fine thread (this product) → metal stud. The fine pitch cuts and holds in thin steel without stripping.
  • Coarse thread → timber stud. A coarse pitch grabs and holds in wood. Use it on steel and it spins, slips and wastes fixings.

Typical trades: dryliners, plasterers, ceiling fixers and builders boarding out steel-framed partitions and suspended ceilings. Match the length to your board build-up. As a rough guide, allow at least 10mm of engagement into the stud beyond the board thickness.
