What standard is it certified to?

What do FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3 mean?

The FFP rating shows filtering efficiency: FFP1 filters at least 80% of airborne particles (up to 4x the workplace exposure limit), FFP2 at least 94% (up to 10x) and FFP3 at least 99% (up to 20x). This mask is rated FFP2, filtering at least 94% of particles.

What is the Dolomite clogging test?

Dolomite (D) is an optional clogging test using fine dolomite dust. A mask that passes keeps breathing resistance low for longer, so it stays comfortable in dusty work.

What does the exhalation valve do?

The valve releases warm, humid exhaled air to cut heat build-up and breathing resistance, improving comfort in hot or humid conditions. Valved masks are not intended to protect a sterile field.

Are these masks reusable?

No, these are single-shift disposable (NR) respirators. Discard after a shift, or sooner if the mask is damaged or breathing becomes difficult.

Do I need a face-fit test?

Yes. A tight-fitting respirator only protects if it seals to the face, so UK law requires a face-fit test for each wearer and users must be clean-shaven where the mask seals.
