What standard is it certified to?
It is CE Category III respiratory PPE, certified to EN 149:2001+A1:2009 as an FFP3 filtering half mask.
What do FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3 mean?
The FFP rating shows filtering efficiency: FFP1 filters at least 80% of airborne particles (up to 4x the workplace exposure limit), FFP2 at least 94% (up to 10x) and FFP3 at least 99% (up to 20x). This mask is rated FFP3, filtering at least 99% of particles.
What is the Dolomite clogging test?
Dolomite (D) is an optional clogging test using fine dolomite dust. A mask that passes keeps breathing resistance low for longer, so it stays comfortable in dusty work.
What does the exhalation valve do?
The valve releases warm, humid exhaled air to cut heat build-up and breathing resistance, improving comfort in hot or humid conditions. Valved masks are not intended to protect a sterile field.
Are these masks reusable?
This mask is certified reusable (R) for more than one working shift. Replace it if it is damaged, clogged, or contaminated, or if breathing becomes difficult.
Do I need a face-fit test?
Yes. A tight-fitting respirator only protects if it seals to the face, so UK law requires a face-fit test for each wearer and users must be clean-shaven where the mask seals.
