Description

These are TIMCO's chrome dome mirror screws. You drive the countersunk screw through the pre-drilled hole in the mirror or panel, then screw the domed chrome cap into the head to hide it. The result is a clean, rounded chrome finish with no visible slot. Reach for them on mirrors, bath panels, splashbacks and signs where the fixing needs to look tidy. Interior decorative use.

FAQs

How do mirror screws with caps work?

You drive the countersunk woodscrew through the pre-drilled hole in the mirror or panel and into timber or a wall plug. Once it is tight, you screw the chrome dome cap into the threaded socket in the screw head. The cap hides the fixing and leaves a smart finish.

Do I need to pre-drill the mirror?

Yes. Mirrors and glass panels normally come with pre-drilled holes for the screws. If yours does not, have the holes drilled by a glass supplier first. Never force a screw through undrilled glass.

What is the difference between a dome cap and a flat cap?

A dome cap is rounded and stands slightly proud, which gives a more decorative look. A flat cap sits closer to the surface for a lower profile. Both cover the screw head, so the choice comes down to the finish you want.

Can you remove the chrome cap later?

Yes. The cap simply unscrews from the socket in the screw head, so you can take the mirror down or swap the cap whenever you need to.

What else can I fix with them?

They suit bath panels, splashbacks, signs and nameplates as well as mirrors. Use them anywhere an exposed screw head needs to look neat indoors.
