Description

These are TIMCO's flat head mirror screws. Like the dome version, the countersunk screw goes through the pre-drilled hole and a chrome cap screws into the head to cover it, but here the cap is low and flat rather than domed. That suits spots where you want the fixing to sit closer to the surface, or a more modern, low-profile look. Good for mirrors, bath panels, splashbacks and signs. Interior decorative use.

How do mirror screws with caps work?

You drive the countersunk woodscrew through the pre-drilled hole in the mirror or panel and into timber or a wall plug. Once it is tight, you screw the chrome dome cap into the threaded socket in the screw head. The cap hides the fixing and leaves a smart finish.

Do I need to pre-drill the mirror?

Yes. Mirrors and glass panels normally come with pre-drilled holes for the screws. If yours does not, have the holes drilled by a glass supplier first. Never force a screw through undrilled glass.

What is the difference between a dome cap and a flat cap?
