Description

A buildcert approved, high performance inhibitor for use in all types of indirect systems.

A buildcert approved, high performance inhibitor of scale, rust, corrosion, hydrogen gassing, microbiological growth and boiler noise. Suitable for use in all types of indirect systems, including aluminium based. Once added, PC101 never needs to be replaced unless the system is drained down. Will extend the life of the system. Long lasting protection. Non toxic, safe to use, environmentally friendly. No staining, colourless formulation. Prevents boiler noise and pin-holing. Complies with latest EU inspection standards using the special “peel off" label to date the system when product has been added. Buildcert Approved.

Filling the system: Open systems should be dosed via the filling and expansion tank. If system is full, draining at a low point should be carried out to ensure product enters the circulatory system. Sealed systems should be filled via filling loop or a drained radiator. Dosage: PC101 for optimum efficiency should be dosed @1.43% of system volume i.e. 1L per 70L of system water. Generally 1 bottle contains enough chemical for a typical system with a 14.5Kw Boiler (50,000 Btu/hr) domestic hot water cylinder and up to 10 radiators. For larger systems an extra bottle will be required - overdosing will not cause any problems or detrimental affects to the system. Please note: where a thermal storage appliance is fitted allowance must be made for the extra volume of primary water. The concentration can be checked with a conductivity meter.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Buildcert-approved central heating inhibitor
  • Protects against scale, rust, corrosion, gassing, microbiological growth and boiler noise
  • For all indirect systems, including aluminium
  • Long lasting, never needs replacing unless the system is drained
  • Non-toxic, colourless and non-staining
  • Box of 10 or single

Usage / Application

First, clean the system first with PC300 if it is new or dirty, then make sure it is ready to dose.

Next, dose open systems via the feed and expansion tank, or sealed systems via the filling loop or a drained radiator.

Then dose at 1 litre per 70 litres of system water; one bottle suits a typical boiler with up to 10 radiators.

Finally, use the peel-off label to date the system. Overdosing causes no harm. For cleaning first, see PC300.

FAQs

What does PC101 do?

It inhibits scale, rust, corrosion, hydrogen gassing, microbiological growth and boiler noise in indirect central heating systems, extending the system's life.

Does it need replacing?

No, once added it never needs replacing unless the system is drained down.

How much do I add?

Dose at about 1.43% of system volume, which is roughly 1 litre per 70 litres of water. A typical system with up to 10 radiators needs one bottle.

Can I use it with aluminium?

Yes, it is suitable for all indirect systems, including aluminium-based ones.

Should I clean the system first?

On new or dirty systems, flush first with PC300 Universal Cleaner, then add PC101.

Will it stain or smell?

No, it is a non-toxic, colourless and non-staining formulation.
