Description

A premium quality, D1T water-borne, ready mixed wall tile adhesive.

A premium grade, off-white, water-borne, ready mixed adhesive paste for fixing wall tiles. Has superb grab and non-slip characteristics which provides the user with an easy to apply, general purpose adhesive with spreading characteristics, which suit both the DIY and professional user. CE Approved.

Suitable for fixing most types of ceramic wall tiles, including mosaics and vitrified tiles in internal locations such as bathrooms, kitchens and domestic shower areas (when used with a waterproof grout). It embodies unique 'non-slip' properties but allows for adjustment while fixing; in most cases this eliminates the use of battens.
Note: This product is unsuitable for use in swimming pools or where prolonged wet conditions exist. It should also not be used with porcelain tiles. Do not use in areas subject to rising or penetrating damp. Not suitable for use with large format tiles.

Usage / Application

First, make sure the wall is clean, dry, sound and reasonably flat for this thin-bed paste.

Next, spread the adhesive with a notched trowel and press the tiles home. The strong grab holds them while you align the job.

Then leave it to set, and grout with a waterproof grout so the finished wall resists moisture in bathrooms and domestic showers.

Finally, keep it to interior ceramic wall tiling. It is not for porcelain tiles, large format tiles, swimming pools, prolonged wet conditions or damp-affected walls. For porcelain or exterior and pool work, use CTA Flexible.

FAQs

How is Premium CTA different from the 20 kg CTA Flexible?

Premium CTA is a ready-mixed paste for interior ceramic wall tiles. CTA Flexible is a cement-based powder that is fully waterproof and frost resistant, takes porcelain and works on floors, pools and outside. Choose the paste for quick interior walls, the powder for demanding or porcelain jobs.

Can I fix porcelain tiles with it?

No. Porcelain needs a cement-based adhesive such as CTA Flexible or Rapid-Flex.

Is it suitable for a shower?

Standard domestic shower walls, yes, when finished with a waterproof grout. It is not for pools or prolonged wet conditions.

Does it need battens?

Its grab and non-slip characteristics usually eliminate battens, which speeds up fixing.

Can I use it on floors?

No, it is a wall adhesive. Use a cement-based floor adhesive such as Rapid-Flex.

What size should I buy?

7.5 kg suits a small splashback or repair, 15 kg a larger wall area.
