FAQs

What are spring head nails used for?

Fixing corrugated roofing sheets, in fibre cement or metal, down to timber purlins. The domed head sits over the sheet and the twisted shank resists wind lift.

Do spring head nails need a washer?

For weatherproofing corrugated sheet, many fixers add a felt or plastic washer under the head. The domed head itself already helps shed water at the fixing.

Why is the head domed?

The spring head bridges the corrugation and flexes slightly as the sheet moves with temperature, which helps keep the fixing tight over time.
