What does S1 ESD mean on a work sandal?
The S1 ESD rating means it is a 200 joule toecap, antistatic, an energy absorbing heel and a closed, fuel resistant sole, for dry indoor work; electrostatic discharge control, for handling sensitive electronics; a fuel and oil resistant outsole; slip resistance tested to the 2022 footwear standard.
Does it have a steel toecap and midsole?
It has a 200 joule steel toecap. As an S1 ESD sandal it does not include a penetration resistant midsole; for underfoot sharps protection choose an S1P or S3 grade.
What size should I order?
Portwest footwear runs in full EU sizes (34-49). If you are between sizes or wear thick socks, take the larger size.
