Description

A D1T, off-white, water-borne ready mixed interior grade adhesive paste for ceramic wall tiles.

An off-white, ready mixed polymer based, thin bed tile adhesive for use with ceramic wall tiles. Has excellent grip properties, which reduces or eliminates the need for battens or spacers. It provides the user with an easy to apply, general purpose adhesive with spreading characteristics, which suit both the DIY and professional user. CE Approved.

Suitable for fixing all types of ceramic wall tiles, including mosaics and vitrified tiles in interior locations such as kitchens, bathrooms, etc, provided it is used with a waterproof grout. It embodies unique 'non-slip' properties but allows for adjustment while fixing; in most cases this eliminates the use of battens. Note: It is unsuitable for swimming pools or where prolonged wet conditions exist. It should also not be used with porcelain tiles or in areas subject to rising or penetrating damp. Not suitable for use with large format tiles.

Usage / Application

First, check the wall is clean, dry and sound. As a thin-bed paste, it needs a reasonably flat background.

Next, spread the adhesive with a notched trowel and bed the tiles. The strong grip holds them, and you can still adjust before it sets.

Then leave the adhesive to set before grouting with a waterproof grout, which is important in kitchens and bathrooms.

Finally, keep it to interior ceramic wall tiles. It is not for porcelain tiles, large format tiles, swimming pools or damp-affected walls. For porcelain or floors, use CTA Flexible or Rapid-Flex.

FAQs

Can I use Super-Grip on porcelain tiles?

No. It is for ceramic wall tiles, mosaics and vitrified tiles. For porcelain, use a cement-based adhesive such as CTA Flexible or Rapid-Flex.

What is the difference between Super-Grip and Aqua-Tile?

Both are ready-mixed wall tile pastes. Aqua-Tile is a higher water-resistance D2T for wet areas like power showers. Super-Grip is a D1T general-purpose wall adhesive. Choose Aqua-Tile for showers, Super-Grip for standard interior walls.

Do I need battens or spacers?

Its strong grip usually removes the need for battens, but spacers still help keep joints even.

Is it suitable for floors?

No, it is a wall adhesive. Use Rapid-Flex, Rapid-Set or CTA Flexible on floors.

Which grout goes with it?

Use a waterproof grout such as our Wall Tile Grout, especially in kitchens and bathrooms.

Can I use it in a shower?

Only standard domestic walls with a waterproof grout. For power showers choose Aqua-Tile, and for full wet rooms use a cement-based adhesive.
