First, make sure the joint is clean, dry and free from old sealant, grease and soap residue. Mould returns fastest where the surface was not properly cleaned.

Next, cut the nozzle to the joint width, load the cartridge into an applicator gun and run a steady bead.

Then tool the bead smooth within a few minutes so water runs off cleanly rather than sitting on ledges.

How does it prevent mould?

It contains a fungicide that works within the cured silicone, so the sealant itself resists the mould and mildew that normally discolour bathroom and kitchen joints.

Where should I use The One?

On damp interior joints that attract mould, such as around baths, showers, basins, sinks and worktops.

What colours does it come in?

White and translucent, so it blends with most sanitaryware and worktops.

Is it low odour?

Yes, it is a neutral cure silicone, so it is lower odour than acetoxy types and kinder to most substrates.

How is it different from S3 or Bath-Mate?

The One is a low modulus neutral-cure anti-mould silicone. S3 is our fungal-resistant sanitary silicone and Bath-Mate is the bathroom and kitchen sealant. All resist mould; choose by modulus, colour range and price.

Can I paint over it?

No, silicone sealants cannot be painted. If you need a paintable finish use a caulk such as Caulk-Mate on movement-free joints.
