First, make sure the tile adhesive has fully set and the joints are clean and free from spacers and debris.

Next, mix the powder with clean water to a smooth paste. For fully immersed areas such as a pool, you can add an acrylic latex additive to boost water repellency.

Then work the grout into the joints with a grout float, filling them completely, and strike off the excess diagonally across the tiles.

Finally, once it has firmed up, wipe the faces clean with a damp sponge and polish off any haze. For mould-prone showers, consider Steri-Grout, which adds extra mould resistance.

What joint width does it suit?

Wall tile joints up to 3 mm wide. For wider joints use a wide-joint floor grout instead.

Can I use it in a shower or outside?

Yes, it sets to a hard, water-resistant finish for interior and exterior use, including shower enclosures. For fully immersed areas like pools, add an acrylic latex additive.

Is it mould resistant?

It gives a durable, water-resistant joint. In mould-prone showers and wet rooms, Steri-Grout is the better choice because it is specifically mould resistant.

What colour is it?

Grey. It is a cement-based grout, so shade can vary slightly with mixing water and drying conditions.

Do I need to seal it?

Cement grouts benefit from a grout sealer in heavy-use or wet areas to keep them clean and water repellent, though it is not essential.
